Leadership Team

Rami is a seasoned senior biopharmaceutical executive and proven deal maker with more than 25 years’ professional and senior leadership experience working at large pharmaceutical and biotech companies in both public and private sectors including Eli Lilly, Amarin Corporation, Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, ACEA Biosciences, and Human Genome Sciences. He has deep expertise across various therapeutic areas and commercialization models (primary care, specialty, orphan), and a successful track record of managing strategic projects globally in the U.S., Europe, Japan, China and other emerging markets. Prior to joining Affinia, Rami was president of GeneScience Pharmaceuticals USA, a leading global biotech company focused on endocrinology and women’s health. Previously, he was senior vice president, corporate development at Amarin Corporation. Rami started his career as a biologist at the National Institutes of Health before transitioning to industry. He holds an M.B.A from the Wharton School, an M.S. in physiology (neuroscience) from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, and a B.S. in accounting and a B.S. in biology (genetics) from the University of Maryland.
